Proposed path of the SRT 422 connector. This will connect the Schuylkill River Trail along Industrial Highway in Pottstown, Montgomery County with the Schuylkill River Trail in Chester County. This short 1 mile section is an important connection that will make it safer for bicyclist using Route 724 going through Kenilworth and going over the Keim Street bridge. There is not a firm completion date, but will most likely be completed by the end of 2024. As of Nov 2023: All permits are secured. Trail easement w/PBA executed; recording pending. Bid documents under review with DCNR "Department of Conservation & Natural Resources" soon. Project schedule: Advertise bid in December. Then construction 6 months from NTP "Notice to Proceed" (est.).
